At the past 8 years, EHL staff along with our Greek partner Easy2Find Group, have made serious efforts on RnD, building a strong educational background and converting the scientific research to actual project development and business operations.
Eucalyptus hybrids
Given the collaboration with the Institute of Eucalyptus Globulus in Australia, we have gained powerful knowledge on planting techniques, plantation’s protocols and risk assessment on life cycle basis. We have achieved to develop next generation seeds, adopted perfectly to Mediterranean climate features, and therefore the plantation’s growth to be in most of the cases predictable. This fact, created an operational and off course financial stability, by minimizing potential threats.
Eucalyptus biomass for energy utilization
The field of energy and bio-fuels is dynamic sector that RnD of EHL is focused on. Wood biomass gasification processes, gas fuels production, hydrolysis and fermentation processes on eucalyptus cellulosic raw materials, are some of the fields that we stand and continuously investigate for commercialized application in Greece. Regarding that field, we are building cooperation chain with Finnish and Swedish companies, specialized on cellulosic biomass treatment, through pyrolysis and gasification processes.
