Distillation process
EHL at the past 4 years, is testing several distillation processes in pilot application, in order to achieve the best possible solution. The assessment is carried out from our scientific personnel, so as to extract a high-quality product, along with efficient productivity rates and effectiveness in energy consumption. Three different types of distillation have been tested so far. Steam distillation, water and a combination of those, each one of them producing high-quality Oils, however they differ in process time and energy demand.
Engineering and distillery installation
Our team consists of mechanic and chemical engineers. We also employ outsourced laboratory services, providing us with chemical analysis of the distilled Oil, so as to achieve the requirements for utilization on Pharmaceutical Industry.
EHL is capable of designing and constructing Distillation facilities, providing an investor also with detailed techno-economic evaluation and feasibility study on the case that is under financing. We import specific species of eucalyptus seeds, develop and grow them into our Nursery in Greece, appropriate for Oils production. Those species grow quickly and their foliage is very efficient on the distillation process, up to 4% distillation rate (v/v). Other parameters, such as transportation, harvesting cycle, pre-treatment of foliage are also important during the operation.
