Company history
Eucalyptus Holding Limited was founded in United Kingdom, on September 2015. The initial idea was born under the existing and successful activities that has been taking place in Greece for the last 8 years, regarding the cultivation of several species of eucalyptus plants and the commercial exploitation of its biomass production and other byproducts with high market value, such as eucalyptus Oils.
This was the starting point that initiated the plan, which was designed in order to expand this operational model, by setting up eucalyptus’s commercial chains to foreign countries with high business perspectives.
We are gradually developing eucalyptus plantations in Greece since 8 years ago, with a direct partnership with Eucalyptus P.C. – member of Easy2Find Group – when the installation of a 10-thousand square meters Nursery and Seed Germination Center took place in the area of Naupactus. Afterwards, 450 hectares of agriculture land was acquired from the local Municipality in the area of Stylida, Central Greece, in order to develop the plantations.
In the same time, technical expertise and scientific background on eucalyptus cultivation was built upon strong educationally-related partnerships with Spanish and Australian companies/Unions. Moreover, the team already participates in the effort of a Greek Company/Partner that operates to eucalyptus cultivation (Eucalyptus PC.) and which has developed a 400 hectares culture, having also a target of 4.000 hectares in the next 5 years. We focus on the installation of a vertically integrated energy project, for raw biomass production in order to feed the 32MW Power Plant portfolio, which is under licensing, at several areas in Greece.
Subsequently, Eucalyptus Holding Limited has focused on expanding the above model in countries where perspectives arise. Such countries currently are Bulgaria, Kenya and Botswana, while in Zambia the project is already installed.
