Eucalyptus Holding Limited is UK registered Company, investing worldwide in the development of eucalyptus plantations, resulting to the extraction of multiple by-products by eucalyptus wood and foliage. EHL creates full scale operations and revenue streams from eucalyptus by-products trading, as well as energy related projects based on eucalyptus biomass.

Zambia:
In Zambia, two companies have been established. “Eucalyptus Plantation Limited” and “Eucalyptus Farming Limited” for plantation/farming development and by-products/energy trading, respectively. Plantation Ltd is running the farming activities/applications, will operate the Nursery and Seed Germination Center, as well as any activity regarding the planting/harvesting cycle and biomass production line. On the other hand, Farming Ltd was set up for trading the products and take over bio-energy Units, as the main Operator/Trader.
Briefly, EHL’s penetration into Zambian market consists of the achievements below:
- Establishment of 2 subsidiaries, for both Production/Construction and Trading purposes
- Issuing of a $52 million Investment License by Zambian Development Agency (the local State Authority for FDI approval)
- Concession of a total 10,000 ha state-land plus another neighboring 40,000ha, for investing in eucalyptus Plantations and Energy Infrastructure Projects
- Direct contact with major local stakeholders such as:
- ZCCM: Investment holdings company that handles the coper mines sector, interested in co-development of Energy generation projects
- ZAMCE: Certification Body and Commodities Exchange Operator
- ZESCO: Local Power Market Operator and major public power Producer, interested in RES based projects, such as biomass
- Local Public and Private Bodies, relating Energy/Bio-fuels sector, as well as forestry and agriculture, and of course infrastructure development relative projects, such as Power Distribution Network
Greece:
Company is operating in Greece with a portfolio of 450 ha culture, with the target of expanding the capacity to 4,000ha within the next 5 years. Through the exclusive and wide partnership with “Easy2Find Biomass & Energy” Group, EHL contributes to the development of eucalyptus plantations for creating a capacity of raw-biomass, adequate for feeding the 32MW Power Plant portfolio in Greece. Therefore, a vertically integrated, RES based, Power Generation model is planned to be installed in Greece, within the next years.
Bulgaria:
In Bulgaria, Eucalyptus Holding Limited is under negotiations for the acquisition of a local Listed Company, under which a vertically integrated business model for Power Generation will be set up. Company is willing to invest in eucalyptus based Biomass Power Generation, due to the land availability and the Power interconnection grid.
In the above project, a different type of eucalyptus seeds is planned to be used. Eucalyptus “Nitens” species, is the appropriate for such climate conditions, ensuring the optimum productivity per hectare and the expected biomass yield.
Specially educated technical force will contribute to the set up procedure. Plantation management will be carried out by the local staff, and harvesting period is expected at 3.5 years after planting is completed.
